Who we are

Upkeep is a social enterprise established in 2005 and based in the East End of Glasgow. Our roots are in the housing association movement and we fully understand the needs of landlords with regard to maintaining high standards in common areas and ensuring a swift turnaround of void properties.

As a social firm, 25% of our jobs are reserved for people who are disadvantaged within the labour market through disability or social disadvantage. Wherever possible, we target jobs at people resident in the East End of the city.

As a socially responsible employer we:

• Offer all staff members permanent, secure and legal employment with conditions of service above the statutory minimum requirement
• Provide uniforms for staff so that they are not only smartly dressed but recognisable as employees of Upkeep
• Insist that all our employees undergo Standard Disclosure checks to ensure that nobody unsuitable is put in contact with potentially vulnerable tenants
• Provide comprehensive training for all employees to allow them to carry out their work safely and to increase their skills levels and confidence
