Last updated: 2.57pm, Thursday 27th March 2014
The Association is very proud to announce that we received an excellent report following an unannounced care inspectorate review of our Supporting People Service, which took place over three days in March 2014. A huge well done to the Supporting People Service team for their commitment and hard work in delivering a fantastic and valued service to our customers.
The report and grades awarded to the service represent the Inspector’s assessment and the quality of the services provided to our supporting people clients. The category of grades the Care Inspectorate can award are:-
Grade 6 - Excellent
Grade 5 - Very Good
Grade 4 - Good
Grade 3 - Adequate
Grade 2 - Weak
Grade 1 - Unsatisfactory
The Association is delighted with the grades the supporting people service achieved in three main areas:
Quality of Care and Support - 2 areas of quality and support were inspected in this category with the Inspector awarding both areas Grade 6 Excellent
Quality of Staffing - 2 areas were inspected in this category with the Inspector awarding one area Grade 6 Excellent and 1 Grade 5 Very Good
Quality of Management and Leadership – 2 areas were inspected in this category with the Inspector awarding one area Grade 6 Excellent and 1 Grade 5 Very Good.
Some of the conclusions of the inspectorate report were that Shettleston Housing Association offers excellent opportunities for participation, there is a varied activity programme that people have chosen, and that staff are very highly thought of, well trained and motivated.
The photograph shown above of the Supporting People team was taken before Carol King, Housing Support Officer, joined the team. Carol is a very valued member of the team, who has proven herself to be an absolute asset.
